Soumita Saha Weaves Love yet again with Tagore’s Song

Tagore’s works, particularly his poems and songs are much like a flow of love and emotion. In the beginning, there is a mystery, in the end, there is confirmation, but it’s in the middle where all the emotion resides to make the whole thing worthwhile.
Poet laureate and versatile genius Rabindranath Tagore. Fondly referred to as ‘Robi Thakur’ and ‘Kobiguru’ he lives on in our hearts, through his rich legacy of work, which also includes his timeless songs – Rabindra Sangeet. He culminated romanticism in Bengali literature with a different kind of essence. The poet found departure and melancholy in monsoon, sensuous love in the season of Summer. His songs distinctive renditions include ornamentations like “meend” and “murki”. “Bhalobashi Bhalobashi” is one such Tagore song that conveys the melancholy that breaks out from the bosom of soil and water, the sky broods like an aching soul, and the horizon stands helpless with misted eyes. Eminent singer and Painter Soumita Saha recently released her rendition of “Bhalobashi Bhalobashi”. The song has been released by Raga Music Communications. The song has been beautifully presented in Arindam Bhadra’s arrangement and Soumita’s soulful voice weaved magic. One of the most mention-worthy things about the lyrical music video of this song is that some of Soumita’s paintings have been beautifully used. ‘Embossoming Dusk’ is one of her popular paintings, praised by critics across the country and globe. The same Painting can be seen in the banner and thumbnail of the song. Another painting titled “Ode to the memories” by Soumita has been used in the video published from Raga Music’s official YouTube channel. Soumita is the best to know for her EDm hit Ishq and her contribution to the field of Rabindrasangeet.
About the song, Soumita also added ” Tagore communicates effectively as if he speaks my mind. This is one of the prime reasons for inclination towards Rabindra Sangeet. For this project, I collaborated with Bumba da( Arindam Bhadra) my arranger brother. We are indebted to Raga Music for providing us with the platform.”
